Music has always been the first love of DJ Bigg Mike. Learning how to play the recorder, piano, and viola at an early age, and listening to his Dad's jazz records set the stage for Bigg Mike's music career. DJ Bigg Mike started off djing at the age of 11. Djing parties at St. Mary's Elementary School where he attended, and later djing a few parties at Holy Family High School with C-Savage & Phenomenon on the mic, which would later be the start of Soufsyde Records. Music was put on the back burner while Bigg Mike attended college and working various jobs. While working as a cook, Bigg Mike put together a couple of compilation CDs to listen to while he worked. Then the servers would hear the cd's and asked if they could buy copies. From that day a DJ was born. With the new found income, Bigg Mike bought new equipment and began putting out better quality mixtapes. Then while on the grind Bigg Mike reunited with Phenomenon & C-Savage. They had just recorded Soufsyde's first album, & DJ Bigg Mike Screwed & Chopped a couple of tracks and let his ol' high school buddies hear what he had did. They signed him and made him Soufsyde Records official DJ and Manager. DJ Bigg Mike has made a buzz for himself performing at Club Chocolat City, Club Dreamz, The Kottage, & other venues and house parties around Birmingham. DJ Bigg Mike keeps the street ears hot by putting out 12-15 mixtapes a year. DJ Bigg Mike is a member of RW Record Pool, S.U.R.E. Record Pool, Hotlanta Record Pool & Grind Squad Dj's Record Pool. Bigg Mike is also manager for Birmingham's rap artist JoE Barz, Zone, Keisha C, & G. South. Also Bigg Mike is a member of Birmingham's hottest Music Production Team, Outhouze Productionz.
